With over 14 years in education and a background in teacher development and digital learning, I bring classroom experience to the changing world of technology.

Through postgraduate study in Technological Futures at academyEX in Aotearoa New Zealand, I am exploring how to help teachers embrace AI confidently, creatively, and responsibly.

“Technology creates opportunities, but people need the confidence, knowledge, and support to make those opportunities meaningful.”

MY JOURNEY INTO AI AND DIGITAL LEARNING

From adapting
to opening possibilities.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, I experienced firsthand how technology could transform teaching and learning. I supported teachers in navigating online platforms, creating digital resources, and adapting their teaching practices to unfamiliar environments.

That experience strengthened my belief that teachers need more than access to technology. They need practical guidance, confidence, and opportunities to learn together.

Connecting with Sri Lanka.

01 / EXPERIENCE

Supporting digital learning

Helping teachers work with online platforms showed me the value of practical support and shared learning when familiar ways of teaching change.

02 / EXPLORATION

Looking towards the future

My journey through the Master of Technological Futures at academyEX in Aotearoa New Zealand has broadened my understanding of emerging technologies, AI, and the future of education.

03 / TODAY

Building EDUAI Connect

Today, I am bringing that learning into teacher-friendly tutorials, prompting frameworks, and practical resources for primary teachers in Sri Lanka.

How can we help teachers embrace AI confidently, creatively, and responsibly while keeping human judgment and the needs of learners at the heart of education?

EDUAI Connect is a place to explore that question together—one practical step at a time. AI can offer a starting point; teachers bring the understanding, care, and judgment that make learning meaningful.
